Pulsar spectra of radio emission
We have collected pulsar flux density observations and compiled spectra of 281 objects. The database of Lorimer et al. (1995) has been extended to frequencies higher than 1.4 GHz and lower than 300 MHz. Our results show that above 100 MHz the spectra of the majority of pulsars can be described by a simple power law with average value of spectral index < α >= −1.8 ± 0.2. A rigorous analysis of s...
متن کاملTrace cobalt speciation in bacteria and at enzymic active sites using emission Mössbauer spectroscopy.
57Co emission Mössbauer spectroscopy (EMS) allows the chemical state of cobalt, as influenced by its coordination environment, to be monitored in biological samples at its physiological (trace) concentrations. To draw attention to EMS as a valuable tool for speciation of cobalt in biocomplexes, the process of cobalt(II) metabolism in cells of the plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium Azospirill...
متن کاملStudy of an oxygenated heme complex in frozen solution by Mössbauer emission spectroscopy.
We have used Mössbauer emission spectroscopy to study an oxygenated heme complex, produced in a frozen solution by nuclear decay from the isomorphous (57)Co-labeled compound. The Mössbauer parameters agree with those obtained by Mössbauer absorption spectroscopy of oxyhemoglobin. Thus, a nonprotein environment for iron can duplicate the unique oxyhemoglobin Mössbauer spectrum. The electronic st...
متن کاملTheory for Time Resolved Emission Spectra
Explicit equations for the calculation of time resolved emission spectra from molecules undergoing collisional vibrational relaxation are presented. The equations describe the changes of the emission spectrum with time, after a delta puke excitation. Alternatively, they can be used to obtain the steady state (frequency resolved) emission spectrum as a function of the pressure of added buffer ga...
